Roofing and chimney work in Walpack
Walpack Township is one of the least populated municipalities in New Jersey. Nearly all of its land lies within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, between the Delaware River and the Kittatinny Ridge, and most of its remaining buildings are historic farmhouses, barns and village structures, including those of Walpack Center, that are managed by the National Park Service. Privately owned homes are few.
Asset Roofing & Chimney serves all of North New Jersey from our base in Cliffside Park, Bergen County, and that includes Walpack. We are licensed and insured, we specialize in shingle and flat roofing and full chimney service, and estimates are free. For the small number of private properties in the township, we provide roof repair, roof replacement and chimney repair.
Housing in Walpack
Walpack's buildings are mainly 19th- and early-20th-century farmhouses, barns and village buildings, most of them within the national recreation area. Private homes are rare. Older buildings may have steep gable roofs, stone or brick chimneys and a mix of roofing materials.
Weather and exposure
Walpack sits in a remote valley between the Delaware River and the Kittatinny Ridge, surrounded by forest and fields. Winters are long and snowy, the valley holds fog and damp air, and tree cover keeps many roofs shaded and covered in debris.
